To have won the accolade best community gardener and runner up in Against the odds category is something i will cherish as its recognition from people who see and appreciate the work i put into the gardens. The budget from Vauxhall One covers only part of the cost of my time.

Giving Back: Public Spaces

The nursery provides much of my income and i use some of that towards replacing plants or paying for help on the planting beds. personally, they may be public spaces i work on . but they are my gardens. i spend my time working on them as any gardener does at home

Reward: Lifting Spirits

It would have been easy to copy many municipal planting schemes playing safe for easy management and keeping cost down. but an accounting style garden gives little pleasure to anyone other than bean counters. how do you price or measure peoples spirits? many have their spirits lifted by plants on Vauxhall Walk, that i observe every day and is my gift to them, as their smile, passing by, is there gift to me.
